A lot of news dumps have happened that’s gotten us in a real mood to play some games! Everything from Dead Space to Hogwarts Legacy to Monster Hunter had some serious time to shine this past week and the Cross Roads crew is working on their backlog to get ready. Jump in, quest on, and have fun!

I’m devoting the majority of my weekend with Monster Hunter Rise thanks to the recent Capcom Developer Stream. It doesn’t take a lot to get me on the hype train for Monster Hunter so whenever a new shiny game or add-on such as Sunbreak is dangled in front of me, I’m hooked.

I’m deep in the rabbit hole of Triangle Strategy now. Last week I said that it was giving me serious Final Fantasy Tactics War of The Lions vibes and that opinion holds true for me a week later spending time with the game. Fair warning: this game is DIALOGUE HEAVY so be prepared to sit and wait.

Playing Tunic, finding it hard to get into it. It’s mysterious enough and gives you nothing in terms of direction and what to do. You can access “book entries” in the wild that explain a bit of what to do. Very reminiscent of the original Legend Of Zelda for NES, where they drop you in, pat you on the butt, and say “best of luck!” Combat is quite challenging actually. Parrying is god awful though.

Mario all weekend! I will be playing the new Mario Kart tracks, and will also be playing Mario Party (because I’ll be at a party).

while continuing to chip away at triangle Strategy before I go to bed.

Hopefully, I will have time to chip away at Horizon Forbidden West, which is a slow climb to get to 55% coverage. Elden Ring and Gran Turismo 7 are on my mind but they are on the back burner until I can get the above stuff out of the way.

I plan on checking out Tunic and Shredders on Xbox for a couple hours at least as well. Here’s to hoping I get a lot of playing time this week. I’m going to need it.

I’m going to continue my trek through Elden Ring this weekend. The environment is just gorgeous and there is a wide variety of bosses and dungeons to defeat in each area.

I’m a bit of a completionist so I’m trying to clear each area before I move on if I can. I’m hoping to get a few minutes to play Tunic as well. That game is 100% right up my alley, just need to take time away from Elden Ring.

What are you playing this weekend? Are you planning to try out something new or continue chipping away at your backlog this weekend?
