MLB Power Rankings: Week 3

We are 3 weeks into the 2021 MLB Season and teams are starting to form identities, let’s see how your favorite team did in this week’s Power Rankings

  1. Los Angeles Dodgers (-)

Dodgers are still on top after another amazing week!

  1. Boston Red Sox (-)

Boston had a rough week but I still like what this team is doing, the Sox are back in the East!

  1. San Francisco Giants (+1)

Giants have been making a case for why they will compete for the NL West title!

  1. San Diego Padres(-1)

Padres get a little bit of a knock for the week they had; Padres have a HUGE series this weekend with the Dodgers.

  1. Oakland Athletics (+7)

The Oakland Athletics have come out of nowhere; this team has great pitching, and it might just be smoke, but I like the A’s!

  1. Milwaukee Brewers (-)

The Brewers need to get consistent starts out of their starting pitching.

  1. Seattle Mariners(-2)
  2. Kansas City Royals (+2)
  3. Philadelphia Phillies (-)
  4. Tampa Bay Rays (+7)
  5. Anaheim Angels(-2)
  6. Chicago White Sox (+1)
  7. Toronto Blue Jays (+1)
  8. Chicago Cubs (+13)

The Cubs swept a really decent Mets team, and they did it with huge run support. The Cubs are playing with spite, from Willie Contereas constantly getting hit to Javy’s plate struggles, this team is playing to prove how great they are.

  1.  St. Louis Cardinals (+4)
  2. Baltimore Orioles (+1)
  3. Cleveland Indians (-9)
  4. Atlanta Braves (+ 2)
  5. Cincinnati Reds (-8)
  6. Pittsburgh Pirates (+1)
  7. Detroit Tigers (+3)
  8. New York Mets (-7)
  9. Miami Marlins (-)
  10. Minnesota Twins (-2)
  11. Texas Rangers (-)

The Rangers may not be in the last place in their division, but they have been playing terribly. Texas needs to re-learn how to hit the ball and hit the ball with contact.

  1. New York Yankees (-)
  2. Houston Astros (-11)

The Astros are in the last place in the AL West–let’s just take a second to acknowledge that the Astros are the worst team in Texas behind the Rangers.

  1. Arizona Diamondbacks (-)
  2. Washington Nationals (-)
  3. Colorado Rockies (-)
