Microsoft’s premier simulation racing game Forza Motorsport 7 will be driving off into the sunset on September 15. That means if you do not own a digital copy of the game, you will not be able to purchase it from the Microsoft Store after that date.
This isn’t uncommon for Forza titles, as they typically get delisted after 4 years or so. This is due to the third-party licenses for the cars expiring after so many years. This includes many of the Horizon titles as well, with the exception of Horizon 4 currently. Somehow, this is the way Microsoft handles its car licenses, which seems to be different from most other racing game developers and publishers like EA, Codemasters, Polyphony Digital and many others.
If you own a digital copy of the game, you can still re-download it anytime after September 15, and there still will be multiplayer support well after this date. Currently you can buy Forza Motorsport 7 on the Microsoft Store for up to 75% off, including Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
With this title being removed from the Microsoft Store, this means there are no Forza Motorsport titles available for purchase digitally, unless you buy a physical copy. The only Forza title available for download is Forza Horizon 4.
