Publisher Koei Tecmo announced on September 19th the content that they aim to highlight during its two segment Tokyo Game Show presentation.
The first production will premiere on October 2nd at 8:00pm Japanese Standard Time. The show will focus on the games Nobunaga’s Ambition: Shinsei and Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires.
The second showcase will air directly afterwards at 9:00pm. Here, Koei Tecmo states that Blue Reflection: Second Light will be shown, as well as the announcement of a “secret” game that has yet to be revealed.
In addition to the two panels, the video game publisher will also air livestreams discussing other upcoming games, such as Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, Monster Rancher, and Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation. You can view the livestreams via the Youtube video linked below.
Koei Tecmo has had a notable presence in the gaming industry ever since their founding in 2009 after the merger by the two independent publishers. They have a vast catalog of franchises, many of which could occupy the “secret” game slot. In addition to the games mentioned above, they have also published the Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Atelier franchises.
The publisher is also noteworthy for the numerous collaborations with other media, specifically with their Warriors series of games. Fire Emblem, One Piece, Zelda, and Gundam are all franchises that have received the Warriors treatment.
Whatever the “secret” game ends up being, we don’t have to wait long before it is revealed. What do you hope to see from Koei Tecmo? If it’s a new Warriors collaboration, what franchise would you like to get a Warriors style game? Let us know in the comments below!
