Nintendo started the December 15, 2021, Indie World Showcase with a trailer for Sea of Stars, a pixel-art RPG by the developers of The Messenger, set in the same universe.

The “retro-inspired turn-based RPG” was funded through Kickstarter and featured previously in Summer Game Fest 2020. In this new trailer, Sabotage Studio announced that the game will be coming Holiday 2022.
