During E3 this passed June, Ubisoft announced that it would be supporting Assassin’s Creed Valhalla into a second year and beyond with major and minor updates, new missions, and major expansions. This week, the company’s first roadmap for Year 2 has been laid out, starting with the expansion Dawn of Ragnarok releasing in March 10, 2022.
In this huge expansion, players will “become the Norse god Odin as you embark on an epic journey through a realm of myth to save your son and in the face of the doom of the gods.” Dawn of Ragnarok is said to be 30 to 40 hours featuring a map one third the size of the England map. Here’s the official statement:
“In a stunning world of Norse Myth, invaders of frost and flame threaten the fate of the Nine Realms. The dwarven kingdom of Svartalfheim is crumbling, and amidst the chaos, Odin’s beloved son, Baldr, has been taken prisoner by the immortal fire giant, Surtr.”
“Eivor must embrace their destiny as Odin, the Norse god of Battle and Wisdom. Unleash new divine powers as you embark on a desperate quest through a breathtaking world. Complete a legendary Viking saga and save your son in the face of the gods’ doom.”

It is worth noting that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok is not part of the original season pass. It is available for preorder for $39.99 (USD) and are granted a preorder bonus in the Twilight Pack, including gear, raven, and more.
On top of this DLC, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey are both getting free updates that include quests revolving around the characters Eivor and Kassandra (Odyssey‘s main female protagonist) meeting and searching for treasure. Here’s the trailer for that as well!
