Video game developer and publisher Capcom teased on their official Twitter account that a countdown has begun on their website, but to what exactly is anyone’s guess.
The timer should reach zero on February 20th/21st at approximately 10pm PT / 1am ET.
Capcom has been a giant in the industry since the 1980s. They have a wide range of properties including Mega Man, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, Ghosts ‘n Goblins and plenty more.
It’s currently known that a remake of the acclaimed Resident Evil 4 has been in the works for some time, thanks to the success of similar remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3. There is also DLC content planned for Resident Evil 8: Village in the works ass well, though to what extent isn’t known.
Street Fighter’s 35th anniversary also kicks off this year, thus countdown could lead to a reveal of a brand new game in the legendary franchise; Street Fighter V wrapped up all of its planned content late last year.
Whatever is the case, Capcom has the potential to reveal pretty much anything, so it’s exciting to speculate exactly what it could be.
