A new trailer was released today for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, that bring fond memories of the 90’s cartoon Beast Wars. The trailer showcases new animal based transformers that differ from the Autobots and Decepticons. Known as Maximals, Predacons, and/or Terrorcons this story will attempt to tell the origin story of Optimus Prime becoming the leader of the Autobots.

We see some of the Autobots from the Beast Wars franchise in this trailer including the Maximals Cheetor, Rhinox, Airazor, and Optimus Primal. Optimus Primal is the leader of the Maximals and is based on silverback gorilla. Him along with hopefully a few more Maximals will join the Autobots against the enemy. The movie comes to theater June 9th, 2023.
