Dead Island 2 Has Gone Gold, Launching One Week Early

Developer Dambuster Studios has announced that their upcoming title Dead Island 2 has been certified “gold”, which means the game is finalized, packed up and ready to ship on target. Not only that, its release date has moved up one week, now slated to hit Xbox and Playstation consoles, as well as PC on Friday, April 21.

Dead Island 2 takes you into HELL-A inside a massive and chaotic zombie apocalypse. You choose one of four characters, each with their own unique abilities and perks, along with an immunity to the virus plaguing the city, as you run, bash, stab, slice, and maim your way to find out what’s going on and if there’s a way to stop the spread.

Leading up to the game’s release, publisher Deep Silver will be revealing more gameplay trailers showcasing what HELL-A has to offer.

Not often we see games move up in its release window (although this game has been in development hell for years, and was also delayed past its initial February 3rd release date).
