The final wave of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 downloadable content is here.
Nintendo quietly announced details on the fourth and final wave of DLC called Future Redeemed, tying together the other two mainline entries in the franchise. This wave of DLC is part of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass and will release on April 25.
Along with that announcement, Nintendo also revealed more details on upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles amiibos, including the revelation of Noah and Mio figurines. The company also set a release date of July 21 for a double pack of Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as part of the Super Smash Bros. lineup.
The Future Redeemed DLC, which came with an announcement trailer, is set prior to the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It will contain “new and familiar characters,” which the trailer revealed included Shulk from the first game in the series and Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Players can expect the DLC to have an original story that will serve as a connection point between the three mainline games. Nintendo also advertised new battle mechanics in the DLC, which included combo fighting from multiple characters.
The past three DLC installments included new characters along with new modes, quests, outfits, and accessory crafting. Nintendo revealed the third wave during its most recent Direct in February.
The upcoming Pyra and Mythra amiibos will serve a purpose in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Players can scan them into the game and change the appearance of their weapons.
For example, Pyra’s amiibo can turn the sword in Noah’s class to Pyra’s Aegis Sword. Players can use Mythra’s amiibo to turn the same swords into Mythra’s Aegis Sword. These sword skins will be available to all players as long as they meet certain conditions set in an upcoming patch.

Nintendo did not reveal any additional details surrounding the Noah and Mio amiibos at this time other than their reveals.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 released on the Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022 and received widespread praise. The game’s first wave of DLC arrived at launch with the next three waves coming out within months of each other.
