David Lynch’s Dune (1984) is unforgettable, for reasons good and bad. A famously taxing film, the result of significant production hell, and ultimately disowned by its director, no-one involved with the film had an easy time of it.
Max Evry’s new book, A Masterpiece in Disarray: David Lynch’s Dune, an Oral History will take readers deeper into the film than ever before. There is perhaps no better title for this book. Published by 1984 Publishing, the book stands at nearly 600 pages.

Evry has assembled an incredible line-up of interviews, from the production team, to the stars (Kyle MacLachlan, Sean Young, and Virginia Madsen) – and against all odds, with David Lynch himself.
You can pre-order A Masterpiece in Disarray ahead of its September 5 release.
