Biker Mice from Mars Coming Back to Earth in Future Series.

In the 80’s and early 90’s there was a craze of cartoons that spawned off the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic and cartoon show. Shows like Street Sharks, Extreme Dinosaurs, and Samurai Pizza Cats all tried to capitalize on the Turtles formula, but mutation did not go beyond more then 3 years for most of these shows. However, one show for me stood out that interested me more than sharks, dinosaurs, or samurai cats that craved pizza, it had a gang of alien mice who traversed the land of Chicago on bikes. The show was appropriately titled Biker Mice from Mars.

The show aired from 1993 – 1996 with 3 seasons and 65 episodes and featured three Alien Biker Mice named Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie. The three humanoid Mice fled their planet mars after it was wiped out by fish creatures called Plutarkians.  They come to Earth to live and try to protect it from being destroyed.  This is the foundation of the series.

In 2006 the series was revamped and had 28 episodes that had a few issues and took a few years to reach varying countries. Moving up to today we see information that says that the series will once again be revitalized this time by Nacelle who recently acquired the IP and will be co-produced by Ryan Reynolds Maximum Effort production Company with Fubo.

Reynolds stated that, “Some people know that I am a motorcycle enthusiast, so it was only natural for us to jump on board Biker Mice from Mars,” This will also be Maximum Efforts first animated series on its platform. With the partnership with Fubo you will also be able to watch the show on, Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, Plex, Sling Freestream, Tubi, VIDAA, VIZIO Watchfree+ as well as Xumo Play. We will wait for a street date of the upcoming reboot.

Have you watched the original or 2006 version of Biker Mice from Mars? Have you even heard of this show? What was your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-like television show? I may need to find my old action figures from this show to prepare for the future episodes.
