Boss Rush Banter: Tim Drake is the Best Robin

Throughout the years, Batman has had several sidekicks. From Dick Grayson to Damian Wayne, they all embodied aspects of the Dark Knight’s spirit, but it is Tim Drake who, at his core, was the true inheritor of Batman’s most important trait: generational wealth.

No, I kid, but in all seriousness, Tim Drake has the analytical mind and gift for deductive reasoning that places him as the best Robin and the rightful inheritor of the Batman legacy.

Ra’s al Ghul repeatedly acknowledges Tim as Bruce’s intellectual heir, likely being one of the main reasons for Damian’s animosity towards him, and Tim steps up, taking over the business mantel at Wayne Enterprises.

Representing the Batman’s legacy in both daylight and nightlife, Tim fosters better social relationship, relying on people where Bruce’s trauma prevents him from doing so, and his compassion for Jason Todd, who had attempted to torture and kill him, demonstrates a more profound empathy than Bruce Wayne permits himself to have.

That’s not to say Tim Drake doesn’t have his faults. He has blind spots. At times, his analytical mind leads to emotional fallout where he overestimates how people care about him and his opinion.

But flaws and all, Tim Drake understood the sidekick assignment and remains the best Robin.
