Nintendo of America has announced a special Nintendo Direct for Super Mario Bros. Wonder which will take place at 7 a.m. PDT on August 31. The Direct will run for approximately 15 minutes.
It is not yet clear what impact this will have on the possibility of a full Nintendo Direct later this year; it’s worth noting that Nintendo has held a full Direct each September for every year that the Switch has been out. Many are speculating another direct will be held some time in the next few weeks.
The support for Super Mario Bros. Wonder isn’t a surprise given it will likely be the last Mario game made exclusively for the Switch. A new console is on the way from Nintendo and is rumored to be released in 2024.
