Games Workshop Reveals New Armies, Models, and Codices at Warhammer World Championship

As part of their World Championships held in Atlanta, Georgia, Games Workshop revealed upcoming models and rules for most of their game lines.

Warhammer: The Old World – Necrolith Bone Dragon

Warhammer: The Old World is a revival of the beloved original Warhammer Fantasy Battles setting. The latest model reveal is the massive Necrolith Bone Dragon, an all-new plastic kit.

It can be built to either feature a Tomb King or High Priest on their own palanquin. The other leader can be built to be a unit on foot.

This model will be available at launch in 2024.

Long ago, when Nehekhara was at the height of its power, its rival kings clashed with each other – and with the mighty Dragons that stalked its eastern mountains. Many were slain, and others bound to their will as beasts of battle. Millennia later, the sand-blasted corpses of these regal behemoths have been reanimated by the Mortuary Cult, once more bending them to the will of the Tomb Kings.

Warhammer 40,000 – Orikan the Diviner & Crusade: Pariah Nexus

A character from the 5th edition of Warhammer: 40,000 receives a new model. Orikan the Diviner is a Necron Cryptek with an ” unmatched command over the arts of prediction and prophecy, and in the rare occasions where his divinations prove inaccurate, he employs secretive chronomantic skills to go back in time and ‘nudge’ events in the right direction.”

He is premiering as part of the next expansion campaign for Warhammer: 40,000, which is Crusade: Pariah Nexus. This book will contain 15 missions and a number of upgrades that can bolster victorious armies.

Orikan is just one of the characters set to appear in the next narrative supplement, Crusade: Pariah Nexus. This becalmed region of space has already been the site of one grand campaign so far, and the Silent King is redoubling his efforts as the Indomitus Crusade pushes legions of Guardsmen, Battle Sisters, and Space Marines into its disquieting depths.

Warhammer 40,000 – Asmodai, the Master of Repentance & Codex: Dark Angels

The Dark Angels are set to receive a line refresh with new hero characters, and a new codex scheduled for Spring, 2024.

Asmodai, the Master of Repentance, is a terrifying interrogator and confessor. His kit comes with a number of options, including a hood or halo, and two backpacks, one of which issues smoke.

Warhammer 40,000 – Deathwing Knights

Alongside the new codex and hero, the Dark Angels will receive a new unit of tactical dreadnought units, cast as shining knights to mirror their returning primarch’s Arthurian theming.

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Ushoran, the Mortarch of Delusion & Dawnbringers Book IV – The Mad King Rises

Ushoran, the Mortarch of Delusion, is the leader of the Flesh-Eater Courts, ghouls who believe they are the most august and noble royals in all the lands.

Alongside him, the latest chapter of the Dawnbringers campaign arrives. This book is sladed to include plot developments, rules for every Death faction, the return of Triumph and Treachery, and a battlepack in which multiple players can vie for success.

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – The Flesh-Eater Courts Army

The Flesh-Eater Courts are slated to receive a significant refresh and expansion of their army, with new foot soldiers, mounted units, monsters, wizards, and heroes. Many of these models will premiere in a box set containing 25 models, their battletome, warscroll cards, enhancement cards, and tokens.

Warhammer Underworlds Deathgorge – Daggok Finksteala

The next team for the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar game Warhammer Underworlds is the orruk Stab-Ladz, lead by Daggok Finksteala. Daggok himself is a warrior, but his units are focused toward support.

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – MKVI Assault Marines

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy takes place thirty thousand years before Warhammer 40,000, in the waning days of the Emperor of Mankind’s wars. The latest model kit introduces jump pack-equipped units who launch into battle. They can cover significant ground, and are designed to capture objectives deep within enemy lines. This kit is designed to be highly customizable, with many different ways you can design your troops.

Necromunda – Tauros Venator ATV

Necromunda‘s latest model allows your gang to get hold of a military-grade ATV. The rules and lore for this vehicle can be found in the Ruins of Jardian expansion.

The Tauros is a reliable workhorse, found on frontier worlds and hazardous outlands across the Imperium. It’s adapted as a far-ranging scout vehicle by certain regiments of the Astra Militarum, such as the Elysian Drop Troops – and the bigger, six-wheeled Tauros Venator variant can support a rear turret mounted with even heavier guns.

This nimble all-terrain vehicle allows Palanite Enforcers to police Necromunda’s vital ridgeways at high speed, while carrying serious firepower. Out of the box, the turret can mount either twin heavy stubbers or twin concussion cannons, and its Dedicated Gunner allows the Tauros Venator to Move and Shoot at full speed.

Warhammer: Kill Team – The Night Lords

The Night Lords are a faction dedicated to stealth and brutal take-downs. They prefer to do their vicious work close, and that requires a delicate touch. This unit is made up of Chaos Space Marines, but provides an additional extra-large upgrade kit of unique clothing and weapons to make this unit your own.

The Traitor Legions of Heretic Astartes have been corrupted into savage and malevolent beings by their time exiled in the warp, but few have fallen as far as the Night Lords. Their appetite for cruelty knows no bounds, and their unchecked mastery of fear makes them some of the most effective terror troops in the galaxy.

Now, it’s your turn to wield their wicked blades on the fields of Kill Team.
