Top 25 Video Games to Keep an Eye On from Summer Game Fest Weekend

With over a dozen showcases that fell into the weekend of Summer Game Fest, there are an overwhelming number of world premiers, updates, and other announcements. For the average gamer, it’s hard to keep a pulse in the hundreds of titles in the pipeline. Boss Rush Network is listing the top video game or accessories from the Summer Game Fest 2025 festivities to look out for! Note: This list includes announcements from Summer Game Fest, its partner showcases, as well as the Sony State of Play and Xbox Showcase due to close timing of the shows.

25. LEGO Party

Listen, we need someone to try and shake things up, and there’s no other franchise to give Nintendo’s Mario Party a run for its money. The trailer displayed bright, goofy characters and charming LEGO art-style. This game is modeled similarly to the Mario Party format and will contain 60 mini-games. It arrives sometime in 2025 for all modern consoles and PC. It will be cross-platform.

24. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

The first Moonlighter by Digital Sun was a smashing success, with many calling it a sweet blend of rogue-like elements, management sim, and a dash of Zelda-like action. A gameplay trailer was revealed, and the sequel is brimming with promise. It releases this summer on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam.

23. At Fate’s End

Thunder Lotus, the developer of Spiritfarer, announced their next title, At Fate’s End. This fantasy action indie title showcases a strong female protagonist who is pit against her own family. You fight–with sword or tongue–and how you manage each family member will impact your “skill tree”. At Fate’s End releases sometime in 2026 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series.

22. Into the Unwell

Action roguelikes may be a dime a dozen these days, but Into the Unwell smashes old-school hand-dawn cartoon art styles with some pretty sick and disturbing inner demon confrontations. While there is no formal release date, wishlist the game on Steam and keep an eye out for an open beta.

21. Chronos

The Bloober Team has a strong history with horror games, from The Medium to the near-flawless execution of the Silent Hill 2 remake. Chronos: The New Dawn is their new game that launches this Fall on Xbox. Check out the latest gameplay trailer below.

20. Pragmata

This is Capcom’s latest IP which was delayed indefinitely back in 2022; however, it appears Pragmata is back in the ring with a strong sci-fi theme and a balance between strategy and action. Will you survive? Who is this “Diana” with immense powers? Find out on PlayStation 5 in 2026.

19. Gears of War: Reloaded

We still live in a golden age of remakes, and now we get a close look at Gears of War: Reloaded. What else can we say about this legendary shooter? There will be improved graphics and gameplay. Also, because it will be available on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms, there will be cross-play support. Gears of War: Reloaded will release August 26th, 2025.

18. Ratatan

Fans of rhythm games may find this title familiar. Ratatan is considered a spiritual successor to the hit classic Patapon where you engage in colorful music-driven battles. Early access launches on Steam July 25th, 2025.

17. Lumines Arise 

Here is another game for those that love music and vibes. Lumines Arise is a catchy puzzle game at heart, naturally from the makers of Tetris Effect: Connected. It arrives this fall to PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR 2, and Steam.

16. Romeo is a Dead Man

Suda was happy to announce his next game with Grasshopper Manufacture, Romeo is a Dead Man, and it is very much a Suda game. You play as a Space-Time FBI special agent named Romeo Stargazer who crosses various universes while obliterating foes and searching for your missing girlfriend It’s action-packed with whacky circumstances, color, and ultra gory violence. Romeo is a Dead Man releases 2026 on PlayStation 5.

15. Big Walk

Remember the phenomenon known as Untitled Goose Game? Well, these devs are back with what looks like a quirky yet immersive sandbox game that you can play with friends. You can walk across a vast landscape, play games, and solve puzzles with realistic sound design to boot. Big Walk will release in 2026 on Steam.

14. Blighted

Did you ever play Guacamelee! or Nobody Saves the World? These indie game veterans from Drinkbox Studios presented their next title, Blighted. It’s an action RPG with lots of style and lore. In the world of Blighted, its people once planted seed into their deceaseds’ brains. The plant that grew from it would bear fruit that bestowed memories and knowledge that could be shared for generations. However, someone defiled the ritual with a deep lust for power, and thus the Blight was born. The release date on Steam is sometime in 2026.

13. Dosa Divas One Last Meal

Outerloop Games has been known to create diverse and fun titles like Thirsty Suitors. In Dosa Divas One Last Meal, you engage in an action-adventure RPG against processed foods in order to bring back delicious, fresh, home-cooking back into the world. It releases in 2026 on Steam and consoles.

12. Sword of the Sea

We see yet another veteran indie dev return with a new title. This time, we have the brilliant minds at Giant Squid (ABZÛ, The Pathless, and Journey) with this atmospheric surfing adventure (on a hoverSWORD, mind you). The dev wants players to enter this flow state, and those who enjoy the Tony Hawk games would also love this one. Sword of the Sea will launch on Steam and PlayStation 5 on August 19th.

11. Everdeep Aurora

Nautilus Games is currently working on a 2D puzzle platformer where you play as a cat named Shell. You look for your missing mother all while meteors are crashing down on your world. Everdeep Aurora releases on Steam July 10th.

10. Hirogami

Hirogami is an adorable 3D action platformer based around the premise of origami. You are the protagonist named Hiro who can fold himself into various forms to get around. Hirogami launches September 3rd on PlayStation 5.

9. OFF

Believe it or not, OFF was initially released back in 2008, almost twenty years ago. We are getting a refreshed version where we can relive (or play for the first time) our adventure as the Batter, with guidance from a cat named The Judge, while fighting off ghostly terrors that haunt the world. OFF releases on the Nintendo Switch and Steam on August 15th.

8. Mafia the Old Country

Think you can handle 1900s Sicily? 2K Games brings us the next installment of the Mafia franchise in Mafia the Old Country. This 3rd person action-adventure game drops on PC and consoles alike August 8th.

7. Stranger Than Heaven

Stranger Than Heaven comes from the makers of Yakuza/Like a Dragon. While there still is a lot of mystery to this title, it seems to be an open-world adventure game set in early 1900s Japan. We do not have a release date nor platforms; however, this title is worth tracking.

6. Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Gameplay was shown off at Summer Game Fest, and this return to form for yet another Capcom IP is nothing short of impressive. In Onimusha: Way of the Sword, you play as a samurai from the Edo era, who wears the Oni Gauntlet and must cleanse the world from the demonic Genma. There’s sure to have a lot of challenging sword fights and intense battle systems in this dark fantasy, releasing in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

5. Beast of Reincarnation

GAME FREAK finally shows off their new project, and it has nothing to do with Pokémon. Beast of Reincarnation is a dark action RPG that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where you face terrifying beasts with your canine companion, Koo. This title will release sometime in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

4. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles

Speaking of golden age of remakes and remasters, a beloved title in the Final Fantasy series is finally getting the glow up it deserves. Fans are losing it for Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. This game features both a Classic and Enhanced version included in the game. The Enhanced version will have a renewed interface, voice actors, and other tweaks and additions. It will drop September 30th, 2025 on all modern consoles and PC.

3. 007: First Light

The creators of the Hitman series are bringing us this delicious feast of a game. Yes, a new 007007: First Light, following a young, new recruit, hoping to earn his stripes in this 3rd person action-adventure espionage game. This will release in 2026 on modern consoles (including the Switch 2) and PC.

2. ROG Xbox Ally

This one is not a game but rather a new handheld console announcement. This “Xbox handheld” can play natively and from the Cloud, accessing any gaming platform–Xbox, GOG, Steam, and more! It has AMD RYZENZ2 A, 16 GB memory, and 512 GB of storage. With the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Switch 2, and PlayStation Portal, it’s time for Xbox to step in the spotlight.

1. Resident Evil Requiem

Capcom released an announcement trailer for a brand-new installment in the Resident Evil franchise–one without Rose. The main protagonist is Grace Ashcroft, daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak. Capcom advertises a shift in tone and gameplay. Resident Evil 9, aka. Resident Evil Requiem, will launch February 27th, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
