Dragon Quest III Remake Announced

During the Dragon Quest 35th anniversary stream, Square Enix, announced the HD remake of Dragon Quest III. The new remake will re-imagine the game with updated sprites making it look akin to Octopath Traveller.

The reveal trailer showed us a good deal of gameplay that included exploration and turn-based combat, which Dragon Quest fans are none too familiar with. During the stream, Masaaki Hayasaka, the remake producer, said his intent was to honor the original game, but to also give players that are familiar and unfamiliar with the game to experience it with “Fresh eyes”.

Dragon Quest III HD is slated to release worldwide with an unconfirmed date at the time of writing.
