Well over a year ago an announcement for Pokémon TCG Live was revealed to be coming to both mobile and PC platforms. Set to replace the Pokémon TCG online app from 2010, the new platform will allow you to transfer your digital card collection over to the new platform. Be advised though since this is in beta phase, issues can and will occur and may cause interruption to gameplay.
Real world players who purchase physical booster packs will receive codes that they will need to enter into the game to create decks. Currently you can not purchase cards within the game. A maximum of 400 codes per set may be utilized.

The game will feature several types of currencies that may be used to purchase items, cosmetics, and additional cards. The currencies cannot be paid for, but rather obtained in the game from daily events, game initiatives, as well as winning tournaments. Currently only Sun and Moon expansions up to the Silver Tempest set work in the game, but the game will eventually allow cards that were released in the Black and White era all the way to Sun and Moon will also make its way into the game.
Are you excited to get a little closer to an official launch of Pokémon TCG Live? Have you played any of the other games in the series? Do you think this will show up on the Nintendo Switch in the future? Let us know your thoughts.
