Smack dab in the middle of the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announces a brand new Zelda game. This time…the princess herself is the protagonist!
In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Princess Zelda is released from her crystal prison; however, Link vanishes into another dimension. It is up to Princess Zelda to set things right.
Eiji Aonuma steps in and introduces a video showing off basic gameplay. Zelda meets a fairy named Tri and she utilizes a Tri Rod instead of a sword. The rod allows her to create Echoes of objects and even enemies. The Echo ability channels Princess Zelda’s wisdom, and this allows several ways a player can solve puzzles.
