Nintendo and Amazon are seeking a $7 million default judgment in their joint lawsuit against third-party sellers accused of selling $2 million in counterfeit Nintendo products on Amazon. The amount was calculated by tripling the sellers’ total sales after they failed to respond to the lawsuit, which cites 27 trademark infringements.

Nintendo has confirmed that Switch Online will carry over to the Switch 2, with company president Shuntaro Furukawa stating that the service will remain available and continue to offer comprehensive features for users. Despite stable membership numbers around 34 million, Nintendo plans to use insights from the recent “Switch Online: Playtest Program” to improve future services, while continuing to expand its classic game libraries, including Wario Land 4 for GBA on February 14.

Hideki Kamiya, creator of Okami and Bayonetta, expressed his desire for Nintendo to reboot the Virtual Console, allowing players to purchase retro games individually, unlike the subscription-based Nintendo Switch Online. While Capcom’s Yoshiaki Hirabayashi declined to comment on the Switch 2, many fans, including Kamiya, hope Nintendo will offer a purchase option for classic titles alongside its current membership model.
