Following today’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, pre-order registration for Nintendo’s new console have opened on the official My Nintendo Store.

Those with an eligible Nintendo account can indicate that they are interested in purchasing one of the two console variants available, and will be emailed at a later date to confirm their purchase. The first batch of invitations will roll out beginning May 8, 2025, and will continue until the console is available for everyone.

Currently, Nintendo is offering the Switch 2 console for $449 USD, or a bundle including Mario Kart World for $499. The console will release on June 5, 2025.

The website indicates that retailer pre-orders will also become available at a later date, and interested customers should “check back soon” if they wish to purchase from another store.
