Dropout has released the trailer for their next season of Dimension 20. Our Intrepid Heroes return as vampires for a 14-episode modified version of Vampire: The Masquerade without battlesets.
Straight off the bat, this one has a What We Do In Shadows feel as our Intrepid Heroes lean into the comedy of some traditional vampire archetypes in a small northwestern town.

Lou Wilson (he/him) will be playing LaVonte Worthy (he/him) who appears to be the same sort of snake oil salesmen / mobster type as HJ Wingstreet (he/him), played by Ally Beardsley (they/them).

Similarly, the vampire-as-hero sort like Angel from his self-titled series and originally from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer but taken more toward comedy than drama is Brian Murphy (he/him) as Mitch Federick (he/him) who partners with Vesper Childers (she/her), who Emily Axford (she/her) plays. Emily leans more Underworld with her katanas despite her face and jaw meaning a bit more on the style of Nosferatu.

This leaves Zac Oyama (he/him) as Zaeth Bondana (he/him) an 80s dive bar pool shark sort who would fit in The Lost Boys while Siobhan Thompson (she/her) goes full Interview with the Vampire as La Contesse Madeleine. Of course, we could argue that really La Contesse Madeleine is actually a reference to the 1992 Bram Stoker’s Dracula with those sunglasses, but we’ll have to see which way the character goes.

For those who are not subscribed to Dropout, the first episode will be released on Dropout on April 8th, and there are no stated plans to release even the first episode on YouTube.
