Xbox Game Pass Coming To Google Stadia

In a surprising move, Microsoft and Google have inked a deal to bring the Xbox Game Pass library to the Google Stadia cloud gaming platform!

In a statement on a live stream, Phil Spencer, the executive vice president of Gaming at Microsoft, and the head of the Xbox brand itself, said “It’s been a long time coming, but we fully believe cloud gaming to be the future, and the Google Stadia platform is on the forefront of that future.”

No release window has been made, however Phil did comment that players will be seeing the service “very soon,” adding that “Google Stadia will be one of the best places to play games like Gears 5, Halo, Forza Horizon, and many more first party titles.”

Xbox has tried to kickstart their own cloud gaming network, however with the recent strides Google Stadia has made in terms of its service, it was a “no-brainer” that “Google Stadia is one of the best cloud streaming platforms to date,” according to Phil Spencer himself.

Phil Harrison, the vice president of Google Stadia and its general manager, commented on the news by saying “We’re delighted to be bringing the Xbox Game Pass library to our platform.”

So who’s excited for this news? Or do you think this is some sort of April Fools joke, especially since this story is breaking on April 1st? It probably is an April Fools joke.
