Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has revealed during a tweet on Tuesday that Forza Horizon 5 has had Xbox Game Studios’ biggest launch ever.

Within just 4 days, more than 4.5 million players have purchased the title collectively across PC, cloud, and consoles. The game, which released on November 9^th, can currently be purchased on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

In addition, Spencer stated that peak concurrent players enjoying the game online have seen numbers 3 times that of predecessor Forza Horizon 4.

This news projects an extremely positive outlook on Xbox’s current strategy, which is to simultaneously release all Xbox Game Studios’ games on PC, Xbox One, Series X/S, and their Game Pass subscription service all on day one. Xbox is proving to be by far the most accessible company when it comes to having access to their library of games.

Forza Horizon 5 takes the racing franchise into a stunning open-world environment, allowing players to have free roam of the country of Mexico and complete challenges in the country’s festive cities as well as explore its breathtaking wilderness.

The game has also been a critical darling, with an amazing 91% positive rating on Metacritic.
