Hand-drawn indie game, Unleaving, has finally launched March 27th on Steam!
I met the developers at Oraguntan Matter at PAX East 2023, where they displayed several pages of hand-drawn (and hand-painted) concept art and a brief demo. After years of hard work, their art springs to life on Steam, retailing at $13.99 USD. A 10% introductory sale is on through April 6th.
When everything seems hopeless a child is awakened by the whispers of the last leaf, drawn into an imaginary world. Unleaving invites the player into a narrative-driven puzzle platformer where each challenge unfolds within a hand-painted landscape, exploring perception and meaning.

Unleaving is a three to four hour experience structured by chapters, each guiding the player on a specific emotional journey with its style, color, and music. Puzzles and skill-based challenges await as you dig through Unleaving‘s story.

I’m not usually a video game person but this game really struck out to me. I loved that the art was all done by hand. The puzzles need critical thinking, and problem solving. I first downloaded the demo and was stuck on a few levels, I found that the hints really helped. Overall, a very interesting fun game definitely would recommend.
