After nearly two years in early access and development by developer Stunlock Studios, dark fantasy survival game V Rising receives a launch trailer to celebrate its 1.0 release on May 8.
The trailer showcases some of the games’ vampiric abilities, frozen landscapes, and hellish cathedrals. It also shows off a handful of boss fights, of which there are expected to be 57 in the 1.0 release. We also see glimpses of the Ruins of Mortium, once the bastion of all vampire civilization and the new endgame zone being added to the game. It is also home to the final boss of the game, the ancient vampire tyrant, Dracula himself.
The 1.0 release also includes native gamepad support, The Legacy of Castlevania crossover event, new castle building elements, weapons and new magical abilities.
V Rising plays host to a world of creatures and environments steeped in the stark gothic and in the viciously vampiric. Newly risen to a world dominated by humans, you’ll engage in both PvE and PvP combat to raise your castle, drain the blood from your enemies, and take part in political scheming with or against your friends.
V Rising is currently in Early Access on PC via Steam. Its full release is May 8, 2024 for the PC version of the game. A Playstation 5 version has been announced, but does not yet have a release date.
