The first two major areas to explore in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom are the Gerudo Desert and Jabul Waters. Now, in order to access the Jabul Waters Rift, you need to get past Lord Jabu-Jabu himself…or is it really Lord Jabu-Jabu? This mini boss is hectic and a lot of fun, so let’s dive in.
After trying to connect the leaders of both the River and Sea Zora, you’ll eventually need to enter Lord Jabu-Jabu’s den.
In this mini boss fight with Lord Jabu-Jabu, you will be in a tight, water-filled arena.
- Recommended Echoes to bring to the fight: Bombfish, Chompfin
- Lord Jabu-Jabu will spit out various floating debris like boxes or Lili pads as we as Tangler enemies.
- All the while, Lord Jabu-Jabu will swim around and try to chomp at you.
- Avoid Jabu-Jabu by swimming or hopping around the debris.
- The Chompfin Echo is priceless in this battle, as it will take care of those pesky Tanglers and even get a hit or two in with Lord Jabu-Jabu as he swims about.

- The primary means to defeating Jabu-Jabu is when he tries to suck everything into his mouth. Zelda fans, does this look familiar?
- Summon a Bombfish Echo, which will explode upon consumption. Then, chose whatever means to get hits in.
- This is where I chose to utilize swordfighter mode.

- Wash, rinse, and repeat this process until the so-called Lord Jabu-Jabu has been defeated.
- Defeating Tanglers and breaking up debris will provide hearts and energy to restore your Swordfighter Meter as necessary.
