It’s Morphin’ Time! The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are finally coming to Fortnite in one of the most highly anticipated and most requested crossovers.
Jason, Zack, Trini, Billy, Kimberly, and yes—even fan-favorite Tommy Oliver in full Green Ranger glory—are all joining Fortnite in Chapter 6 Season 4, titled Shock ’N Awesome, launching Thursday, August 7. Epic Games made the announcement with an action-packed trailer that mixes live-action with CGI.
In it, the Island is overrun by giant bugs crawling out of a severed tentacle left behind by a kraken-like monster defeated by Superman during the game’s last live event. Just as things start falling apart, the Power Rangers arrive—theme song and all—to save the day. The iconic original Megazord makes an epic entrance as well, squashing a massive bug under its Sabertooth Tiger Zord boot.
The Mighty Morphin Bundle is set to hit the Fortnite item shop sometime in August. It comes with the Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink, and Black Ranger outfits, matching accessories, and the Go Go Power Rangers – Redux Jam Track. Battle Pass owners will also get access to special quests starting September 16, which unlock the Megazord skin during a midseason event.
The Green Ranger is the Tier 100 reward in the Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass—so if you want to play as Tommy in his most iconic form, you’ll have to grind it out. There’s no word yet on skins for his White Ranger, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black, or Lord Drakkon versions, but there’s a good chance the White Ranger shows up at some point.

Fortnite has become known for big pop culture crossovers since its 2017 launch, with characters from Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Alien, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, professional sports, anime, and more. Adding the Power Rangers seems like a no brainer, I only wonder why it took this long to do so.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first aired on August 28, 1993, and ran in various iterations for 30 seasons. The original timeline wrapped up with Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury from 2021 to 2023, leading into the Netflix movie Once & Always, which served as a final send-off to the 30-year continuity. The franchise has seen a few reboots and spin-offs—like the cult-favorite 2017 movie, a popular line of comic books (some written by original Pink Ranger Amy Jo Johnson), and most recently, a retro-style beat-’em-up game called Rita’s Rewind from Atari and Digital Eclipse.
Disney now owns the rights to Power Rangers, and there are rumors of a full reboot series starting production in London in early 2026 for Disney+. Over the years, we’ve seen more than 25 different versions of the Rangers, but the Mighty Morphin’ team—Jason, Kimberly, Billy, Trini, Zack, and Tommy—still stands out as the most iconic. Three decades later, they’re still as beloved as ever.
Will you be diving back onto the island and morph into action with the Power Rangers? I definitely will be! Let us know in the comments or in our Discord!
