Boss Rush Banter: Genshin Impact’s Serenitea Pot is Lacking

Genshin Impact has its own version of home decorating through the Serenitea Pot. Aside from this feature, it also lets travelers increase their Friendship Level with characters and provides other rewards in exchange for Realm Currency that builds up over time with the amount of decorations in the tea pot. These rewards include materials to enhance characters as well as Transient Resin which expires in seven days but gives travelers 60 resin. Now, I love my tea pot, but I find it quite limiting.

The first thing I want from the Serenitea Pot is a larger loadout. Now, most travelers who utilize their tea pot have similar complaints. The actual amount Genshin Impact allows in the tea pot is actually quite small for boasting about being a home decorator. Now, I have my realm decorated enough to be in the tier “Fit For a King” which is the highest tier of how much decorations the tea pot is filled with. Despite this title, I can really only create a few nooks in the realm that I feel are well-decorated. For how many blueprints of furniture the game offers, there is not enough load offered in the tea pot that allows us to utilize them to the fullest.

Another feature I would love to have is more interactable items. There are a lot of blueprints, and yet the amount that are actually interactable outside of climbing on it are few. For example, one of the new blueprints offered is a lighthouse. Players can climb on the ladder leading up to the light but can’t do much else. I would have loved it if I could turn the light on and off or if it had a spotlight that I could point in a direction.

The interactable blueprints now are mainly from events. It would be great to have some that don’t require players to have been playing the game at that time. Quite a bit of dispute comes from how travelers are missing rewards from past events, and that’s its own kind of dispute. Blueprints themselves don’t do much for players. The worth of a blueprint from an event is more for memorialization and less about gaining Realm Currency. An ability to buy past event blueprints would be great to have. It could cost more Realm Currency than other blueprints or have to be bought through other in-game currencies.

One item I would have loved to have is Neuvillette’s little dragon cup. I had played through the beginning of the event where it appeared, but I never finished it, so I didn’t receive the cup. It’s an item that doesn’t mean much for the game itself, but I love the cup for its story implication and just being well made.

Genshin Impact does offer quite a bit already through their Serenitea Pot, but I feel like they can offer so much more for travelers. I’m not looking for more rewards like the Transient Resin but rather for better capabilities in the tea pot itself for travelers like me who love to decorate spaces. Increasing the limit of the load in the tea pot would be a great start to bettering the tea pot but also creating more interactable blueprints and the ability to buy past event blueprints would be amazing.
