Boss Rush Banter: Which Video Game Character Would You Choose as a Mentor?

You play a specific character in a video game, you know the plot and the objective, but do you ever wonder if you could actually relate to the character, and if you ever needed any guidance in putting your life on the right track, would this character be well suited for the job? A very odd topic, I know–but it makes me wonder.

From time to time, there have been video game characters such as heroes, supporting characters, and even villains who came into our lives, and as funny as it sounds, might have put such an impression on us that it would make you wonder if you could even have a conversation with the character. What would you two talk about? What can you learn from the character, and would you adapt the character’s way of thinking anyway?

Maybe you could have a conversation with Mario and learn that no matter what, always fight to save the ones in need–no matter the obstacles, keep on jumpin’! Imagine meeting with Lara Croft, the very symbol of a strong female video game hero overcoming any obstacles. I’d even enjoy a conversation with Link (well, it might be one-sided since he’s the mostly silent hero); I know he would listen and I could learn the good lesson of staying silent sometimes.

So what do you think? If you ever had a problem and needed advice, who would you go to for guidance? Let us know in the comments below and don’t forget to visit our Discord and hang with us as we discuss all things gaming!
