31:44 | Pokémon Presents presentation reveals Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

This past weekend, The Pokémon Company delivered a surprising Pokémon Presents presentation revealing two new mainline games. Entitled Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, these new games were revealed as gorgeous open world games. What that actually means, we don’t know yet, but it may just finally be the game fans were hoping Sword and Shield could have been. The starters were also revealed, and as tradition dictates, they are grass, fire, and water types. Sprigatito is a “capricious, attention seeking Grass Cat Pokemon,” Fuecoco, a “laid-back Fire Croc Pokemon that does things at its own pace,” and Quaxly, an “earnest and tidy Duckling Pokemon.” What do we think and what are our thoughts?

47:30 | Pokemon Legends Arceus Gets a 1.1.0 Update

Also revealed at the Pokemon Presents was Pokemon Legends Arceus Version 1.1.0, which added new requests which players can obtain after the credits roll, Eternal Battle Reverie, new training ground battles, a new photography studio, and much more.

50:42 | Nintendo Pulls Out of EVO

As many may have suspected since Sony’s purchase of EVO from its controversial owner last summer to spruce up their esports initiative, Nintendo has officially withdrawn from the FGC’s flagship tournament. Nintendo has been playing with the idea for a while, even partnering with Panda Global to hold their own tournaments with Splatoon 2, ARMS, and more. Now that it is owned by long time rival, it makes sense that they would do so at this point. Nintendo has always marched to the beat of their own drum, and now it seems they will be aiming to once more with Smash. What are your thoughts on this?

57:43 | Retro-Bit is Releasing Revised GameCube Component Cables

For you GameCube fans, Retro-Bit is releasing a revised set of component cables for the little purple lunchbox console. The cables will cost around $50-$60, which is significantly less than the official Nintendo branded ones, costing upwards of $200 on auction sites. The company also has an HDMI adapter that specializes in anti-lag.

1:00:23 | Nintendo has Improved Switch Online’s N64 emulator it seems

Nintendo has quietly improved its Nintendo 64 emulator with the release of Majora’s Mask last week with version 2.0.0. Noted by OatmealDome on Twitter, this version appears to have many game configuration updates, even noting that the Water Temple room that was previously critiqued negatively, has been completely fixed.
