Turnip28, a tabletop miniatures game developed by British artist Max FitzGerald, will host a second Kickstarter on November 28. The Shattered Lance continues the post-apocalyptic comedy-horror Napoleonic action, in a significant expansion of the game and world.
The Kickstarter offers a “horde of NEW Digital and Physical 28mm, multi-pose, miniatures, rules and stories from the world of Turnip28.” It offers six new cults, six new scenarios, and more than 50 relics, and a dragon.
Featuring ragged ranks of heavily armoured knights, wretched wild horsemen and terrifying monsters. The Shattered Lance also boasts the biggest and most impressive Turnip model yet. Designed by the astounding concept artist Monster Garden, and sculpted by the ever talented Warp Miniatures, this ungodly beast will become the centre piece of any turnip players collection.
What Is Turnip28? Turnip28 is a post-apocalyptic vegetable wargame. Players command Regiments of fantastic miniatures made up of incompetent Snobs, bedraggled Followers and bizarre war machines. You will weep. You will cheer as deranged peasants kick each other to death in the mud.
Turnip28 is designed to be kitbash friendly, allowing players to modify their armies to a significant degree. The previous Kickstarter, The Forlorn Hope, offered extremely modular, mix-and-match miniatures that could be assembled from a collection of heads, bodies, limbs, and other oddiments. The game, however, can be played with creatively modified 28mm Napoleonic wargame miniatures.
The Shattered Lance will be available on Kickstarter from November 28, 2024. Designed to have a minimum cost for entry, the rules are available for free from FitzGerald’s Patreon. Free 3D-printable STL files are also available.
