Boss Rush Banter: What Potential Aspect of the Switch 2 Are You Looking Forward to the Most?

We are now less than one month away from Nintendo’s Switch 2 Direct on April 2nd. There’s a lot to speculate or infer from the announcement trailer and recent FCC filings, which leads me to ask–what potential aspect of the Switch 2 are you looking forward to the most?

According to recent FCC filings, various news outlets are confident that the next iteration of the Nintendo Switch will have amiibo functionality (due to NFC support), two rechargeable ports, and WiFi 6 support. Add this to the potential to mouse functionality hinted at the reveal trailer. Even though the Switch 2 is not a drastic change in form from its predecessor, there are so many finer points that give us fans a lot to look forward to.

I love the Nintendo Switch as it is; however, the improved WiFi speed with WiFi 6 support and potential mouse capabilities are what has me chomping at the bit to buy the new console on day one. Although I’m a Switch fan, I’m also no stranger to the sub-par online experience. In fact, I’ve given up playing anything that involved online multiplayer. Even though I know I have strong internet, the number of disconnections during Mario Kart or Mario Party was discouraging.

The mouse functionality would be the cherry on top. I already love the joy-con and motion controls; however, some games are simply more challenging without a mouse and keyboard. This is part of why I didn’t end up using my Steam Deck as much as I hoped because although I can bring my Steam games on the go, there are many titles that simply would work better with the precision of the mouse.
