Nintendo announced a non-Switch 2 focused Direct with only 24 hours’ notice. With a focus on a roadmap of Nintendo Switch titles, we were flooded with lots of new information and juicy details.

Shigeru Miyamoto appeared for the final announcement of the March 2024 Nintendo Direct, and it wasn’t about a game. He spoke briefly about the longstanding history of Nintendo Directs, which will continue, but he announced a new, direct-to-consumer means of receiving Nintendo-related updates. Introducing: NintendoToday!

NintendoToday! is a new app that will be available later today. It will behave a daily calendar, where Nintendo-related content, news and non-news, will be delivered daily. Miyamoto also stated that after The April 2nd Direct, news for Switch 2 will be delivered via this app.
