New details of Gearbox’s upcoming action RPG Tribes of Midgard have been shared during the publisher’s E3 panel on Saturday.
In addition to a new gameplay trailer, the publisher confirmed a launch date of July 27th for the PS4 and PS5, as well as Windows PC via Steam. The game is currently available for preorder, with the standard edition being $19.99 USD, and a deluxe edition for $29.99 USD, which features exclusive armor, weapons, and pets.
Players will take control of a Viking hero called an Einherjar who is handpicked by the Valkyries to defend Midgard. In order to do this, players must construct a base utilizing materials found throughout the wilderness. Eight distinct classes are available to choose from with their own unique skills and roles in defending the realm.
The developers have stated that Tribes of Midgard is developed with both single player and cooperative gameplay in mind, so players of all types should find equal enjoyment.
