Bethesda confirmed a new IP titled Red Fall during their panel at E3 today, with a release date of “Summer 2022.”
The game is being developed by Arkane Studios, the minds behind 2017’s Prey and the Dishonored series.
The cinematic trailer showcases a group of four that possess a variety of psychic powers battling a legion of powerful vampires.
The description for the trailer on Xbox’s official YouTube page confirms the game to take place in Redfall, Massachusettes.

What’s of particular interest is that as far back as 2019 the name “Redfall” was rumored to be the subtitle for the next installment of the Elder Scrolls franchise. This is because fans speculated that the setting would be the conjoined nations of Redguard and Hammerfell, becoming a new kingdom called Redfall.
Zenimax, the parent company of Bethesda at the time, trademarked the name “Red Fall” in 2018 and defended its use in court against allegations from fantasy author Jay Falconer.
Are you disappointed that this isn’t connected to The Elder Scrolls 6, or are you more relieved? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
