Boss Rush Banter: What’s Been the Highlight So Far of E3?

1–2 minutes

The first 2.5 days of E3 2021 are in the books, and there’s been so much to get excited about. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase was packed with blockbuster content, while Squire Enix, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, and Gearbox all delivered big time titles. The Granddaddy of them All, Nintendo, still has to get it’s turn on the stage Tuesday, along with Bandai Namco; but given what has transpired thus far, what has been your biggest highlight of E3?

Certainly Guardians of the Galaxy garnered a lot of excited as the heroes from Marvel make their first appearance in the world of video games. Some have already crowned Square Enix King of E3 after that announcement.

Gamers of a certain age lost their collective minds with the detailed look at Halo Infinite, a game that looks to finally restore the magic and power the franchise once commanded. Presenters not only promised a dynamic campaign, but a renewed multiplayer experience that will delight both long time fans and newcomers alike.

Another Xbox game may have stolen the show, however. Forza Horizon 5 showed off jaw-dropping graphics that look every bit next generation, while also introducing a revitalized multiplayer mode that allows players to create their own courses and games, while utilizing AI to expedite match-ups.

In the end though, Nintendo may have won the weekend without even getting its time in the spotlight. Ubisoft’s collaboration with the gaming giant in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope created a social media earthquake.

Tell us what you think! Did Nintendo steal the show before it even presented? Did Square Enix or the Xbox & Bethesda Game Showcase astound you? Share your reactions in the comments below or join the conversation on Boss Rush Discord.
