As more information floods in regarding the Nintendo Switch OLED model, Nintendo confirmed that people will be able to purchase the newly redesigned dock separately if they wish. The catch is that the dock-only option will be exclusive through their website. This means while this option will be possible, other retailers won’t have access.

The Switch OLED docks will be available in black or white with a wired LAN port and rounded corners. If purchased separately, the newer dock won’t come with the AC adaptor or HDMI cable. The Verge states that the docks from the old and OLED models can be interchangeable–wonderful news for those that want to save some money but still have access to wired internet.

The Nintendo Switch OLED model will arrive on 10/08/2021 at $349.99 USD; however, the price point and date of availability for the dock-only product has not been confirmed yet.
