In a recent interview with Game Informer, co-presidents Neil Druckmann and Evan Wells of Naughty Dog spoke on whether they would be interested in making additional established IP’s or branching out into new ones. This is what Wells had to say:
“I think the easy answer is both,” Wells then added. “I think there’s excitement to develop new IP’s, but there is still a ton of love for Uncharted and The Last of Us, and I think you’ll see both kinds of projects from us in the future.”
This statement certainly does not confirm that new or old IP’s are being worked on, but this provides a glimpse within the mindset of what the company is thinking. However, there have been rumors of two games that the company is currently working on including a multiplayer game that may involve The Last of Us, as well as a potential remake of the same game.
