Boss Rush Banter: Which Remake or Remaster in the Pipeline Are You Looking Forward to the Most?

It seems we are enjoying a golden era of remakes and remasters in recent years. Groundbreaking games that released years ago have been receiving make-overs to crank up nostalgia in the gaming community. The list is endless: The Last of Us, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Spiro Reignited Trilogy, Resident Evil 2, Final Fantasy VII, and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition are just a small sampling.

Remakes and remasters provide a lot of benefit in gaming preservation, revisiting old memories, and even creating new ones. Sometimes these new versions have the opportunity to create a new fan base. For example, I myself have never played a Resident Evil game (shocker, I know). With the remake of the second title, I finally mustered the courage to purchase it…and lo and behold, it has become the gateway game that led me to love the franchise.

More remakes and remasters are in the pipeline, and one that I am looking forward to the most is Dead Space. This is an iconic title that I sadly also have never played because I used to run at the sight of a horror game. However, years later, I am now an avid consumer of survival horror, and my friends in the Boss Rush community raved about this title and wished for a remake. I was also immediately drawn to the news after hearing EA Motive was going to rebuild it from the ground-up to ensure they utilize the power behind current gen consoles and obtain feedback from fans. The Dead Space remake seems to have a ton of potential, and I am eagerly awaiting more information on its release.

Which remake do you have on your wish list? Is it Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/ Shining Pearl? Or how about Alan Wake that was just announced? If there aren’t any, what game do you feel is in need of a make-over? Let us know in our Boss Rush Discord! It’s a great time to be a gamer.
