Months of rumors and leaks become fact today as Rockstar Games officially unveils Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition to the world. This collection features Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas. The Trilogy will be coming later this year for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC through Rockstar Games Launcher. Later, next year, mobile will be receiving the games as well.
Graphical improvements will grace all three versions while retaining the classic feel. What we don’t know is if consumers will be able to buy the games separate from each other as standalone titles, their price, release window, or if we will receive physical editions. Current digital versions of the game will soon be removed from online stores in preparation of the new upgraded titles. More details are expected to be coming soon.
With the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto 3 this year, we expect that this is to keep us busy before a new GTA game is announced. Are you excited for this announcement? Have you played any of these before or will this be your first time? What platform do you plan on playing this on?
