Atlus has announced a sequel to it’s 1997 title Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers.
Titled simply Soul Hackers 2, the game is slated for release on August 25th, 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Steam.
Curiously, the game is not coming to the Nintendo Switch, in which Shin Megami Tensei V recently debuted. It is possible that the game could be making its way to Nintendo consoles at a later date.
In a story synopsis, SEGA Europe states: “In a war between devil summoners, it’s up to Ringo and her team to decrypt destiny and save the world from apocalypse!”
Atlus has also made mention that the latest game will combine aspects from across the franchise, including the Persona series of games.
Soul Hackers 2 is being directed by Eiji Ishida, who has also directed Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.
