Nintendo has released firmware update 14.1.0 for the Switch, and it is currently available for all players to download.

This patch adds a new “Platinum Points Notification Setting,” where users can be notified about unclaimed points that are affiliated with the My Nintendo rewards program.

This is complimentary to February’s update, which included missions and rewards for players utilizing the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Full patch notes are noted below:

“Platinum Point Notification Settings” has been added under Notifications in System Settings.

• Unclaimed Platinum Points earned from completing Nintendo Switch Online missions on your Nintendo Switch system will generate notifications.
  • Nintendo Switch Online missions and rewards are not available in some countries and regions. 
• Setting these notifications to OFF will hide the notification sent when there are unclaimed Platinum Points.
