Action role-playing dungeon crawler Nobody Saves the World is on its way to PlayStation next week (April 14) and equipped with a new feature for games to wield in their adventures. Over on PlayStation Blog, Ian Campbell, Lead Designer for Drinkbox Studios took a moment to inform PlayStation gamers what was coming their way on the 14th.
The company’s wild, wacky take on action RPGs is described as a silly, sprawling title full of weird characters, bizarre dungeons, and wild quests. With the power of the wand, you’ll unlock and swap between over 15 forms — everything from a Guard or Ranger to a Horse, Bodybuilder, or Dragon. In the game, players will journey through a crashed UFO one moment, and an overgrown rotten pumpkin the next. There’s always a new form, quest, or dungeon to discover right around the corner.

The Calamity spreads its corruption across the land and the world turns to the legendary wizard Nostramagus to save them… only he’s nowhere to be found. So you, the hollow-eyed Nobody, steal his magic wand and set out to defeat the Calamity yourself.
The gameplay in Nobody Saves the World features a traditional top-down perspective which can be played solo or co-op. Players control Nobody — a blank-slate type of character — who is equipped with a magic wand that grants them the ability to transform into 15 different forms. Whether you are a robot, a dragon, a magician, or any of the other forms Nobody can assume, players start out with two basic skills that can be expanded upon as the game goes on. As your forms become stronger, they gain ever more abilities, all of which can be mixed and matched with other forms.
Campbell also adds that you don’t have to do it alone. You and a friend can save the world together, either online or right next to each other in the brand-new local co-op mode. With two players at once, the potential literally doubles the form-swapping, ability-combining enjoyment, unleashing a whole new level of creativity and overpowered combos.
Nobody Saves the World is available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox 1.
