Back in 2019 I backed my second video game campaign on Kickstarter. An indie project titled, Chained Echoes, was finally given a release date of December 8th, 2022. Brought to life by Matthius Linda from Dusseldorf, Germany. I am excited to see my investment come to life.
Chained Echoes is a 16-bit fantasy RPG that mixes fast paced gameplay with mechs and airships. Inspired by SNES style RPGs like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger the game seems to merge the SNES and Genesis eras art style with a modern take on gameplay. The game offers around 25 hours of gameplay and has much to uncover over the coarse of its story.
Furthermore, along with the release date an announcement of a physical edition of the game will be coming through First Press Games. They will have multiple versions from standard to retro, as well as a collectors and JP edition. These platforms include Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
