Filmdeg Miniatures is a YouTube channel dedicated to recording interviews with key figures from the 1970s-2000s British wargaming and hobby scene. Notably, they have interviewed John Blanche, who defined the design and art language of the various Warhammer lines; Tuomas Pirinen, designer of Mordheim; and Trish Carden, designer of many iconic miniatures. Filmdeg Miniatures is swiftly amounting to an invaluable oral history of the hobby.
The channel has featured a running series of in-depth interviews with Rick Priestley, who created Warhammer Fantasy Battles and Warhammer 40,000, writing many of the early editions.
In this wide-ranging interview, Priestley discusses the business side of the development of the early editions, and shows off his battered working copies of early texts.
Recent interviews include speaking to Trish Carden, about her sculpting and design.
As well as a series of interviews with Michael and Alan Perry about the models they sculpted.
