After bringing the River and Sea Zora together and uncovering the real reason Lord Jabu-Jabu has been on a rampage, you must take on the Jabul Ruins Dungeon. It’s a fairly fun one where you must activate all the switches that raise the water level high enough for you to enter the boss room.
Oddly enough, this boss, Vocavor, made a brief appearance at the start of the dungeon, but now, there’s nowhere to run.
- Recommended Echoes/items to bring to the fight: Zora flippers, Bubblekelp and/or Riverhorse-based smoothies, and any swimming Echoes–Chompfin and Bombfish preferable.

Phase One
- This phase is 100% underwater; however, there are air bubbles and only one move set Vocavor has.
- Vocavor will summon high and low whirlpools that you can easily swim up and down to avoid.
- Summon a Chompfin or Bombfish Echo to pop the light-blue “bubble”-sacs on its back. Once destroyed, it’ll temporarily go belly-up, exposing its weak point for you to slash away in Swordfighter form.
- Depending on how much damage you can inflict, expect to do this once or twice.

Phase Two
- Then, things defy all logic where there will be blocks of water and pockets of open-air.
- Vocavor will move between areas, and you must follow while avoiding more whirlpools.
- Occasionally, Vocavor will summon one massive whirlpool and swim around to avoid your attacks.
- Your swimming Echoes may be less useful here; however, you can either summon aerial Echoes–or for me–utilize Swordfighter form (much faster and efficient) until I pop those light blue sacs on its back and slash at its belly once more.

- This will take a couple attempts, then Vocavor is down for the count!
