Survios, the developer and publisher of the VR game Alien: Rogue Incursion, has announced the much-anticipated patch for the Meta Quest 3 will be delayed until next week.
Many in the VR community have lamented that the Meta Quest 3 version of the game has significantly worse graphics, visuals, and performance. There’s been hope that this upcoming patch will go a long way towards addressing these concerns.
However, Survios expressed concerns that “some patch elements needed more time to ensure they meet [their] quality bar, and don’t introduce any new issues once it’s released.”
The company did share some of the major issues to be addressed in patch 1.01:
- Greater Atmosphere and Immersion: Numerous fixes/adjustments, including reintroducing blood in the environment.
- Tighter Visuals: Addressed minor visual bugs like LOD popping and adjustments to fog color and intensity
- Performance Improvements: Reduced the chance of encountering performance drops during combat.
- More coming next week!
