Recently a new trailer was dropped by developer Obsidian Entertainment showcasing the upcoming new game The Outer Worlds 2. The trailer features an in-game look at the support of ray tracing and DLSS 4 upscaling. Ray tracing makes the game much more vivid in color by simulating more realistic lighting and casting shadows and reflections in all the right places, while DLSS 4 will elevate image quality and boost performance. It will be great to see in action how this will compare across platforms and setups.

The Outer Worlds 2 is a sci-fi action-adventure RPG set in space. In the game you will play as an agent from Earth who needs to investigate space-time rifts that are causing chaos in the Arcadia system. The game will be released on October 29th, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, and Battle. Net.
