Dying Light 2 DLC Bloody Ties Out Today After Numerous Delays

Survival horror game Dying Light 2: Stay Human finally receives its first story downloadable content expansion, titled Bloody Ties.

The DLC has had a somewhat troubled development. Initially scheduled for a summer release, the extra content was pushed back to September as more time was needed to develop the story DLC. Then, in August, a new trailer announcement stated that the game was being moved to October. Finally, after being delayed once again, publisher Techland revealed a solid November 10 release date for the game’s first story expansion.

Bloody Ties adopts a gladiator theme as players are tasked with conquering “Carnage Hall:” an old opera building where survivors of the zombie plague battle-it-out to the death for fame and wealth. The story DLC contains an all new adventure, complete with new quests, challenges, weapon types, character interactions, and places to discover.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human released earlier this year for the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S; a cloud version for the Nintendo Switch is planned, though with no set release date. The game tasks players with surviving in an open world beseiged by brain craving zombies, and is noteworthy for its impressive use of parkour moves such as climbing, sliding, and leaping off of the urban landscape.
